SMILDS, DigitalFilipino, and e-Commerce

I have been hearing a lot of e-commerce sites (online stores) where I could purchase the product that I needed in the comforts of our home (or office). And I believe this would slowly be occupying a large part of the commercial activity of us, Filipinos. In fact, Digital Filipino had been promoting and imparting knowledge about it. Last November 12 and 13, Digital Filipino E-Commerce Summit and Web Awards 2009 had been conducted for the said purpose. Browsing over the list of the winners is making me a “Proud Pinoy” for the talent we Filipinos have. And this goes as my congratulations to the DigitalFilipino Web Awards 2009 winners. I wonder if my travel blog can make it next year (giggle). Anyhow, this web awards is made possible by a number of sponsors; and SMILDS.com is the major one in terms of sponsorship.

SMilDS.com launched in the Philippines

Going back to the topic, sooner or later, online shopping in the Philippines will surely spread like a virus. And those who were still on its barbaric stage will not be able to take advantage of the internet. They should, at least, establish a web presence to reach a large part of the market. And with that, SMILDS.com is extending a hand by inviting reseller agents to promote its platform. In turn, these agents could sell the service subscription to the merchants. In the future, SMILDS is eyeing to be the Philippines’ premiere social shopping platform. To get more info, and to keep you posted, visit SMILDS Philippines Facebook fan page.
